The San Leandro Adult School offers a wide array of classes to fill the needs of the community, promote lifelong learning, and prepare adult learners for the workforce. Below are some of the types of classes we offer:

English as a Second Language (ESL) ESL classes are English classes for non-native speakers. Learn English with a focus on skills you need in daily life and for getting and keeping a job. Courses combine vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammer and pronunication. more>

ESL/Adult Basic Education Bridge Students who are at the intermediate-high level and above enroll in classes which prepare them to enter our high school diploma program by practicing academic English skills as well as mathematics.

Adult Basic Education /High School Diploma & GED Preparation Adults of any age from 18 years and older may complete a high school diploma through our morning, evening, and Independent Study options. more>

Parenting, Family & Consumer Awareness and Effective Parenting Techniques We offer parent participation classes for parents, toddlers and preschoolers to learn together.

Seniors 50+ Adults ages 50 years and older may attend one or more classes to stay active in mind, body, and spirit. more>

Computer Education Computer software classes for beginners and students who wish to become proficent in MS Office, QuickBooks Pro, Photoshop and others.

Certificates in Health Careers Vocational short term medical training courses are available with our partners.

Community Interest Cake decorating, floral arranging, yoga - classes vary according to interest and instructor availability, are self-supporting and very reasonably priced.

Distance Learning Learn in the comfort of your own home. ESL, Parenting Education, CAHSEE and GED preparation are available through Distance Learning.
